Moving-In Checklist

Before Handover

• Verify that the first month's rent and full damage deposit have cleared.
• Ensure the property is professionally cleaned.
• Test that all included appliances and utilities (water/lights) are functional.

Day of Handover

• Conduct the incoming property inspection with the tenant present.
• Take clear, dated photos of the property condition and any existing wear.
• Record starting electricity and water meter readings.
• Both parties must sign the incoming inspection report on the day.

Deliverables

• Hand over all keys, complex remotes, and alarm codes.
• Provide a copy of the building/body corporate rules to the tenant.
• Provide formal communication channels and emergency guidelines.
