Use this document to record a notice requiring the tenant to vacate where the landlord has a lawful basis to terminate or cancel the tenancy.

Important: A notice to vacate is not an eviction order and does not authorise a landlord to remove a tenant, change locks, disconnect services, or remove possessions. The legal basis, notice period and effective date must be checked against the lease and applicable South African law. Court process may be required if the tenant does not vacate voluntarily.
